I completed my medical school at Rocky Vista University in Colorado. Originally from Wisconsin, I was able to come back for residency in family medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire. I enjoy staying active through biking, swimming, tennis, and traveling, all of which fuel my passion for movement and wellness. My journey into sports medicine began during my time as a collegiate swimming coach, where I saw firsthand how frustrating it can be for athletes to struggle with injuries and not have the support they need. That experience inspired me to pursue a career where I could bridge the gap鈥攕upporting athletes not only in their training but also in their recovery and long-term health. VCOM/Virginia Tech aligns with my goals because it has a strong focus on OMT which allows for real-time treatment of athletes as well as advanced procedural training that can be used as part of a treatment plan. I am looking forward to all the experiences that will be offered this year!
